Our Financial Advisory business provides advice in connection with a wide range of strategic and financial matters that are typically of great importance to our clients. Our goal is to continue to grow our businsess by fostering long-term, senior-level relationships with existing and new clients as their independent advisor on strategic transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and other financial matters.

Real Estate Investment

Our company invests in real estate via NYFC Properties, LLC, a private investment company founded in 2003. The company seeks to own both commercial and residential properties in the United States and abroad. NYFC Properties does look for certain types of properties and situations, but will listen to all project proposals and meet with prospective buyers and sellers. Private Equity

Our company invests in other companies via NYFC Capital, LLC, our private-equity arm. NYFC Capital looks to invest using three disciplines (buyouts, venture and growth capital, and real estate). The company does not look to invest using leveraged financing, although we will consider all deal proposals.

NYFC Capital has the ability to leverage the insight of its investment consultants, collaborating across the company's investment disciplines from deal sourcing and due diligence through portfolio company development. The result is a broader view of potential investment opportunities and deeper level of expertise, creating value for NYFC Capital portfolio companies that translates into strong returns for NYFC Capital investors.

The President

Starting out as a business analyst for a Fortune 500 company, Robert J. Sucarato founded New York Financial Company in April 1993. While getting the company off the ground, Sucarato worked as a trader for a brokerage house from 1994–1995 while performing research and writing articles for such publications as Individual Investor Magazine and America’s Fastest Growing Companies.

In 1994, he participated in an investment challenge consisting of 1000 investment professionals. During the challenge period, his portfolio rose by over 14 percent while the overall market fell by over 20 percent; enabling Sucarato to finish in the top 25 of the challenge.

In August 2002, Sucarato was elected into the International Who's Who Society, a definitive work on the world's leaders in commerce, economics, policy, and trade. The Society was founded in 1928 and provides the most comprehensive listing of professionals whose contributions shape and direct the destiny of nations. Current members in the society include leading business executives, heads of state, noted academics and other professionals.

Mr. Sucarato is also on the advisory board of BusinessWeek magazine, on the U.S. Congressional Business Advisory Council, and a frequent contributor in the financial media.
